A dog is a man’s best friend. We all love our pets, but we know sometimes they can be difficult. When it comes to your carpet, pets can be harmful. Pet urine can be extremely damaging to the health of your carpet, not to mention the terrible smell it leaves with it. The problem is that dry pet urine forms urine crystals, which is primarily where the smell comes from.

If not treated properly, the pet urine will sink deep into the backing and padding of your carpet. Once urine is dry, it becomes twice as difficult to remove. Luckily, Aloha Chem-Dry provides a pet urine removal treatment (PURT) which breaks up the urine crystals at the source.

We use a blacklight technology, which allows us to find the hidden urine stains that have already crystalized. Once found, we use a carbonation extracting process to blast and remove the urine crystals. Lastly, our sanitizer can eliminate the disease-causing bacteria left behind. Let Aloha Chem-Dry solve even your toughest pet accidents!

Self Cleaning Tips:

Tip #1: Don't use a steam cleaner - The heat that is vital to steam cleaning can cause the smell and stain to become a permanent fixture in your carpet or upholstery.

Tip #2: Avoid using strong-smelling chemicals - especially ammonia - Urine is a way for your pet to mark its territory. As the urine converts to ammonia as it sets in, using strong smelling chemicals will only reinforce the spot as a place to do business.

Tip #3: Stay away from enzyme-based products - these products have to stay in contact with the source for several hours and stay wet the entire time. This requires vigilance and time consuming work on a product that is often so fragile it doesn't work.

Tip #4: Purchase a Chem-Dry Pet Odor Extinguisher to clean spots right when they happen and between your deep cleanings.
